Antti J. Leinonen (b. 1976, Oulu) lives and works in Ii, Finland.
He has worked as a freelance photographer and videographer since 2002 for several national medias in Finland, ranging from television, newspapers to magazines. Last years he has been moving from journalism to more artistic expression.

As a photographer, he is particularly interested in human–nature relationship, self- sufficiency and rural exodus. His visual language has been described as melancholic, compassionate and sometimes warmly humorous.

Last Man Fishing is his first long term project. It is about the fading fishing culture of Finland’s Bothnian Bay.
